Rhodes

Also known as the ‘Island of Knights, the fourth biggest island of Greece and by far the biggest island of the Dodecanese complex.

The 'Island of Knights'

The first traces of life on the island of Rhodes are lost in the fog of myth. The first inhabitants are said to have been the native Heliades, children of the protective god Helios and Clymene the Oceanid, and the Telchines, a strange kind of people who supposedly resembled demons. These were, according to tradition, skilled sailors and skilled craftsmen who taught the ancient Rhodians how to forge and process stone.

Best Dining in Rhodes

FOUR POMEGRANATES

It is very difficult to choose just one place on an island of that size. Most people believe it’s an island where fast food is the first choice and frozen mousakas are served on every corner. Partly that is true as it is always the case in very touristic places. However, there are always hidden gems if you know how to look for them.

Four pomegranates are the place to visit for great food. Lead by the motto’’ The most important ingredient to cooking is the love for the people you are cooking for’’ they make sure to keep it up on every plate that comes out of their kitchen.
